As a winner of the “Italy of Innovators” award at the Expo Shanghai showcase, Expert System, the leading provider of semantic software that searches, discovers, classifies and interprets information, today announces its participation in the event’s interactive exhibition.
The initiative, proposed by Italian Public Administration and Innovation Minister Renato Brunetta and the Commissioner General of Italy for Shanghai World Expo 2010 , Beniamino Quintieri, will be held from July 24 to August 7 at Expo Shanghai, an event which aims to promote the excellence of Italian companies in the fields of technology and innovation worldwide.
Expert System won in the “Italy of Innovators” showcase with its semantic software for Mobile Government, Cogito Answers, which facilitates quick and accurate government-to-citizen interaction. Thanks to Cogito’s ability to automatically understand the meaning of words, it is enough to send an SMS, written in everyday language, to get answers to your questions in real time. (For example, the software would understand the intention of “Library open on Saturday?” or “What time does the post office close on Friday?”). At anytime and anywhere, a mobile phone is all that citizens need to access the information they are looking for with the utmost simplicity.
“Today, the attention given to semantic technology is growing rapidly because it is the most efficient method when it comes to accessing information,” said Stefano Spaggiari, CEO of Expert System. “The key characteristics of our semantic software—simplicity of use and efficiency—are clearly a great advantage when it comes to business. And to be here in Shanghai, among so many Italian innovators, is a great honor and a wonderful opportunity to give a boost to semantic technology on such a prestigious international stage.”
Expert System will be at Expo Shanghai August 2-3. To schedule a meeting, or for information about your project, email us at [email protected].
