Chairman of the Board of Directors
Dario Pardi has gained decades of experience at major multinational corporations in the ICT sector, holding international-level positions at Storagetek and Cabletron, as well as in Italy at leading companies such as Bull HN, Nixdorf Siemens and Hewlett-Packard. At Hitachi Data Systems since 2007, Dario Pardi was Vice Chairman for Benelux and Southern Region and Vice Chairman EMEA Growth and Sales Transformation. In April 2013, he became EMEA Vice President Global Markets and President of Hitachi Data Systems Italy, a position he held until December 2014. Since 2015, Dario Pardi has been Chairman of Retelit, one of the main Italian operators of data transmission services and infrastructures for the telecommunications and ICT markets, and Chairman, as well as a significant investor, of the TAS Group, a company operating nationally and internationally in the supply of software and services for banking and financial applications. During Dario Pardi’s presidency, Retelit and TAS, both listed at the time on the Italian Stock Exchange, conducted ambitious development projects through innovative organic and external growth lines, resulting in the acquisition of Retelit and TAS by leading international investment funds.

Marco, founder and CTO of expert.ai (formerly Expert System), is one of the leading experts on AI-powered semantic technology and natural language processing. He created the core technology of the company (formerly Cogito platform), and has worked in the field of artificial intelligence, semantic technology, natural language understanding and natural language processing in every advanced context: search engines, text analytics, NL interfaces, Q & A systems, automatic categorization and many others. He has led the company throughout its consistent growth and has helped expert.ai to achieve major successes in various business sectors. He coordinates all activities of Research and Development and in his spare time, he writes about these issues on the company blog.
Stefano Spaggiari

For many years now, Stefano has led expert.ai (formerly Expert System) as CEO. His guidance led the company to achieve a leading position, receive prestigious international awards, and establish itself among the top ICT companies in the world in the field of artificial intelligence applied to natural language understanding. He founded expert.ai with the idea to develop software to support other companies with the analysis of information. Through the years, he always has carried out this idea with great passion and determination. Stefano has successfully managed the company IPO and its internationalization process. Stefano holds an EMBA from the Alma Graduate School of the University of Bologna, as well as a degree in Computer Science from the University of Modena, Italy.
Sara Polatti

Sara graduated in International Economics and Management in 2011 from Bocconi University in Milan and obtained her master’s degree in Finance in 2014, also from Bocconi University. In 2012 she did an internship at J.P. Morgan IB, in the team of Derivatives Marketing and then she held the role of Banker/Wealth Advisory Analyst in J.P. Morgan Private Bank for about 4 years. From June 2017 to September 2018 she was a member of the technical secretariat of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A. Since September 2018 she has been a member of CC & Soci S.r.l., where she provides financial advice on extraordinary financial transactions in Italy and abroad, organizes and structures club deals and set ups and manages the company’s operations.
Stefano Pedrini

Stefano Pedrini is Adjunct Professor of Economics and Design Organization at the Politecnico di Torino since 2016 and of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Bergamo (Faculty of Engineering) since 2012. He also works as an external lecturer at Politecnico di Milano. He has carried out research activities in the field of business strategy, finance and game theory with Italian and international publications. He has also worked as an executive consultant and Chief Financial Officer for public and private companies in different sectors, including highly regulated sectors such as aviation. He has significant expertise in business valuation, corporate finance and in stock acquisition packages on the Italian Stock Market FTSE. Since 2015, he has worked as a consultant for businesses on bankruptcy and concourse procedures (similar to Chapter 11). Currently, he is a temporary CFO or senior advisor for several Italian companies on activities related to business evaluation, mini-bond issues, M&A activities and business turnaround. Stefano holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Technology Management from the University of Bergamo, jointly with Politecnico di Torino, and a M.Sc. in Management Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Bergamo.
Marco di Teodoro

Di Teodoro Marco was born in Teramo (Italy) in 1982, and graduated in Finance and Risk Management in the University of Parma. He has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant since 2011. He is a member of several boards of directors and has also been a member of a banking institution. He works as a Statutory Auditor and as an external professor in some Italian Universities.
Claudia Maggi

Claudia Maggi has completed her BSc in Politics and International Relations at University College London (UCL), which included a year at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying Technology Management. For her bachelor thesis, she investigated whether and how founders’ use of artificial intelligence shapes entrepreneurial ecosystems. She has interned at PwC (Tax and Law), Baringa Partners (Commodities and Energy Trading Consulting), and Morgan Stanley (Sales and Trading). In 2023, she was recognized as a United Nations Millennium Fellow for leading an initiative that advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The following year, she joined a startup accelerator as a “Founder Under 24” and founded, and now leads as President, START London, the capital’s chapter of START Global, Europe’s largest student-run entrepreneurship network, to equip members with the network and programs to build high-growth ventures.
Serena Maria Torielli

Serena Maria Torielli is a tech entrepreneur with a solid background in finance and digital innovation. She is the founder and CEO of Wealthype, a forward-thinking company leveraging artificial intelligence to transform the distribution of financial and insurance products, enhancing both profitability and service personalization. With a career spanning more than three decades, she has held senior positions at leading international institutions such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Banca Leonardo, gaining extensive strategic and managerial expertise.
She currently serves on the boards of prominent Italian companies: since 2021 as an independent director of Webuild S.p.A., and since 2022 of Tessellis S.p.A. Her commitment to innovation and to human-centered technology has earned her national recognition. In 2018, she was named among the “Inspiring Fifty” as one of the most influential women in tech in Italy, and in 2021 she received the award “Le Tecnovisionarie” for her pioneering contributions in artificial intelligence and fintech.
Luca Sintoni

Luca Sintoni is a Chartered Accountant, Statutory Auditor and Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University, where he teaches courses in accounting and financial statement. He has extensive experience in tax and corporate advisory for both Italian and international groups, with a focus on M&A transactions, corporate restructuring, and business taxation. He is highly skilled in IAS/IFRS financial reporting, corporate governance, and financial market regulation. He is a Partner at Capellini Secchi Saviotti Florita, a Milan-based professional firm.
Roberto Sambuco

Roberto Sambuco is an investment banker and principal investor with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He specializes in operations that promote economic development, corporate crisis management, and public/private partnerships. With in-depth knowledge of regulated markets, particularly telecommunications and energy, he currently focuses on investments to support the growth of Italian companies and strategic infrastructure for the country. In the past, he has worked in M&A, corporate finance, turnaround, and business strategy, with a strong interest in innovation and digitalization, also as a university lecturer.

– Macquarie Capital (December 2021): Senior Managing Director and Head of Italy, leading complex investments across various sectors.
– Vitale&Co (2014-2021): Partner, managed investment banking operations for major Italian and foreign groups.
– Ministry of Economic Development (2009-2014): Head of the Communications Department, implemented the national broadband and ultra-broadband plans, liberalized the postal sector, and managed significant radio frequency reforms.
– **Italian Digital Champion** at the European Commission (2012-2013): Represented Italy in promoting the Digital Agenda.
– **Other Experience:** Founder of a strategic business consulting firm (2006-2008), top manager at WIND SPA (2002-2006), founding member of the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (1998-2002).

Ambrosella Landonio

Ambrosella Landonio has been admitted to the bar as a lawyer since 1996. She is dealing with civil law matters in collaboration with Studio Legale Izzi- Toniatti- Perron Cabus- Martini & Partners where she gained significant experience in bankruptcy, corporate, commercial and regulatory issues. Since January 2009 she has been appointed by the Court of Milan as receiver, liquidator, commissioner. From 2017 to 2022 she was an independent director of a company listed on the Milan stock exchange. Since 2022 she has been a member of the supervisory committee of companies in extraordinary administration. She assists the Firm’s professionals holding roles on boards of statutory auditors and supervisory bodies pursuant to Law 231/01.
