Expert.ai  Shortlisted for ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2026

Expert.ai has been shortlisted for the “FinCrime Technology Partner of the Year,” an International Compliance Association (ICA) Award. The ICA Compliance Awards recognize outstanding achievement, collaboration and innovation of the compliance and financial crime prevention teams worldwide. Expert.ai was shortlisted following a rigorous judging process ahead of the official awards ceremony on June 25, 2026.

ICA’s President, Pekka Dare commented:  “On behalf of ICA, I would like to personally thank everyone who entered the ICA Compliance Awards Europe. It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Expert.ai on being shortlisted as a finalist in the category of FinCrime Technology Partner of the Year. All of the entrants represent the very best of what our industry has to offer, and I am looking forward to welcoming all our finalists to the awards ceremony on 25 June in London.”

Transforming decision making in compliance and financial crime prevention

Maintaining compliance with evolving AML and KYC regulations is a critical priority for organizations operating in the fincrime space. While AI solutions offer clear value, they must also address challenges related to bias, accuracy and hallucinations. In this context, the “FinCrime Technology Partner of the Year” category recognizes the outstanding work of Expert.ai in advancing a distinctive composite AI approach, grounded in a vision of transparent, human-centered AI.

EidenAI, Expert.ai’s vertical AI suite designed for organizations operating in complex, knowledge-intensive environments, such as insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, combines neuro-symbolic AI with deep domain expertise to support the entire knowledge lifecycle within a single unified environment. The Expert.ai EidenAI Suite gives subject matter experts full control at every stage without disrupting existing processes.

“We are proud to be recognized for our work and thank our customers and partners for their collaboration and trust. Expert.ai’s Composite AI approach is specifically designed for regulated and high-stakes environments such as AFC, KYC and AML, where black-box models are not sufficient. By merging symbolic reasoning with neural AI, we enable compliant, explainable and scalable risk detection that meets regulatory expectations while improving operational efficiency,” said Andrea Ricotti, SVP Channel Development EMEA at Expert.ai.”This acknowledgment reinforces our commitment to delivering AI systems that are transparent, reliable and fit for mission-critical use.”

The ICA judging panel included a diverse group of highly respected leaders from the compliance and financial crime prevention community, including Lisa Bennett, Legal Compliance Director, Mastercard; Shyam Kotecha, Chief Compliance Officer, MLRO & Director, M T Finance; Jon Duffy, Senior Vice President, Corporate Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, Genting Casinos UK; Caroline Braddock, Ethics and Compliance Officer, Rolls-Royce;  and Anthony Davies, Senior Compliance Manager, AXA Health.
