Expert System Selected in the 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Search

Expert System today announced that it has been positioned in the “Niche” quadrant by Gartner, Inc. in its 2013 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Search. Expert System is the only Italian company to obtain this recognition amongst some of the world’s largest enterprise search providers.

According to Gartner, the Enterprise Search market is being reshaped by vendors’ shifting strategies to meet the market’s evolving needs for information and provide meaningful solutions and features for social, mobile and the cloud. In the report, Gartner notedanalyzed Expert System’s for its strengths in the field of analytical applications, as well as its advantage in natural language processing, which is which makesmaking it a strong choice for users to support direct communication with customers through a natural language interface/platform.

Fundamental for the Expert System semantic platform is its ability to easily access the myriad of business documents available and provide users the ability to quickly and accurately retrieve only the information of interest. Its flagship Cogito semantic technology exceeds the limits of traditional search technologies and provides a deep understanding of words by fully understanding their meaning in context.

For the Enterprise Search market, Gartner puts the compound annual growth rate of 11. 7% from 2007 and 2013, and estimates the market was worth $ 1.69 billion in 2012 and that this figure will grow to 1.89 billion in 2013.
